1. Guidelines for Addressing the Board on Consent Agenda Items

At this time, the Board welcomes public comments on consent agenda items from residents, taxpayers, or employees of PASD. Please include your name, address, municipality, and topic to be addressed. Additionally, comments which pertain to personnel matters, individual student matters, or specifically name individuals, will not be permitted. The reading of comments will be limited to one (1) - three (3) minute opportunity per individual.

2. Curriculum - Approval of a Memorandum of Understanding with YWCA Tri-County Area for a Foster Grandparents Program for 3 years through March 2029

The Foster Grandparent Program is a national service initiative that connects adults aged 55 and older with children and youth who are at risk. Administered by AmeriCorps Seniors, it allows experienced seniors to serve as role models, mentors, and tutors in various community settings, including schools. They may read with students, assist with classwork, support small group reinforcement of lessons, etc. Our intent is to engage with the FPP in our summer programs as a graduated start and then consider programming during the regular school year. This is not to replace district staff but to enhance support.
